Super Heroes

Major Victory Comic Book SuperheroMajor Victory has been through many different incarnations in the comic book world.   In the DC Comics universe, this was the superhero name for three different characters. In Batman and The Outsiders Annual #1 (1984), William Vickers was Major Victory who had super human strength and the ability to fly and emit energy blasts.  He was a member of the groups Force of July and Suicide Squad.  He was later killed by Eclipso.

In the comic book Adventures of Superman #612 (March 2003), a different version of Major Victory appeared but his role was very low key and appeared mostly as a background character. His alter ego remains unknown..

The latest incarnation of Major Victory appeared on the cover along side Silent Majority, and Lady Liberty of the comic book, Infinite Crisis Aftermath: The Battle for Blüdhaven #1 (June 2006).  In this version, an organization called S.H.A.D.E. created Major Victor for the American government. This action lead to a remake of the group “Force of July” into “Freedom’s Ring,” which included new incarnations of Silent Majority and Lady Liberty. Major Victory’s powers came from a power suit that emitted blue and white energy blasts and gave him super human strength.
